  • Bazaar in Birżebuġia

    A bazaar was opened during the christmas period in 2012. The name of the shop is TOP TO TOES in Zaren Dalli Street, Birzebbugia.

  • Marathon on NET Television

    On 1st. September a Marathon of eleven hours was done live on Net Television organized by the Missionary Movement Jesus in thy Neighbour. There were many speakers among those who gave their experience of their voluntary work in Africa during this last year and also many good singers took part in this marathon.

  • Collection on Gozo Channel

    On the occasion of the popular feast of Saint Peter and Paul nicknamed 'Imnarja', the Gozo Channel authorities are allowing some members of the Missionary Movement "Jesus in thy Neighbour" to collect donations on the ferries from 28 June to 1 July. The passengers are asked to help the poor children in Ethiopia.

  • Maratona on ONE

    On 17 June 2012 another maratona on One. The main purpose this year is for the building of a new home in the Vicariate of Jimma, Bonga in Ethiopia. This home will welcome children with special needs. The organisers of this Maratona were Rennie Vella and his wife Paul Ann.

  • Monsignor Grima receives Victoria award

    On 7 June 2012 the Victoria council recently presented the Ġieħ il-Belt Victoria award to a number of Gozitan missionaries as part of the activities marking Victoria Day, which this year happens to mark the 125th anniversary of the city.

  • President receives Bishop of Jimma, Ethiopia

    On 21 May 2012 the bishop Markus Medhin of the diocese of Jimma in Ethiopia together with Monsignor George Grima, had a meeting of courtesy with the President of Malta, Dr. George Abela in the palace of the President at San Anton in Attard.

  • TV Program 'Bla Agenda' and 'Pig Feast'

    On 16 May 2012 Monsignor George Grima was one of the guests of the popular TV program 'Bla Agenda' run by Norman Hamilton. There were various appeals for the maratona which was to take place the next day on One. Monsignor George Grima did not stay for the whole program as after this program he had to attend another fund raising activity organised by four volunteers that consisted of a pig feast 'majjalata' in Siġġiewi to raise funds for the missions in Kenya were they will be in July 2012.
